Our Lutheran Home is based on the Christian concept of caring.
“But just as you excel in everything – in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us – see that you also excel in this grace of giving.” Corinthians 8:7
Since our beginning in 1952, we have depended on the generosity of those who enthusiastically support our Christian mission. With your help we are able to provide a quality of life for our elderly that cannot be sustained by individuals or government reimbursements alone. Whether you choose to create a gift or memorial to support a specific program, or establish a charitable planned gift, you can be certain that your gift will be appreciated. Gifts to support our ministry are used for the purpose designated by the donor. Gifts and Memorials
Individuals often support us with specific gifts and/or memorials in memory of a friend or loved one. A gift or memorial may be given undesignated or designated for a specific purpose or fund.
Specific Building Fund or Project
In the history of the Lutheran Living Communities, there have been specific capital fund drives to support a specific project, or assist with the on-going need to replace capital items.
Gifts of Stock and Other Assets
Stock, real property, and other assets that have increased in value since the donor purchased them are also viable options.
Endowment Fund
This fund is designated so that gifts contributed are invested in a manner that the principal of the gift remains intact with only the earnings used to support service programs of the Lutheran Living Communities. The gift is perpetuated and will remain as a living memorial to the donor.
Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Matching Gift Program
Individuals who are members of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans (usually those who have some type of insurance or annuity policy) can increase the impact their gifts have on the lives of those served by the Lutheran Living Communities through the Giving Plus Program. Minimum and maximum limits apply.
Planned Gifts
A planned gift is a contribution established during a donor’s lifetime, but cannot be received until the donor’s death. This type of gift, which may be made through a will, bequest, life insurance policy, trust or annuity, enables the donor to leave a legacy of care for those served by our Lutheran Living Communities.
